A corema, in geography, is a synthesized graphic representation of a space, that is, it is the image of a map with geometric shapes.
Coremas de Colombia is a work of digital art whose purpose is to show, through the image of maps, two of the most cruel massacres in our country so far in 2020, the Samaniego massacre in Nariño and the Llano Grande massacre in the Aguablanca District in Cali, Valle del Cauca.

The first fragment (corema de Colombia), delimits the Colombian Andean zone and indicates the two departments where these massacres took place. The second and third fragments (Samaniego’s core and Santiago de Cali’s core), locate the municipalities that are the protagonists of this cruelty within their respective departments.

The conceptual character of the work is an invitation for us, Colombians, not to allow these acts to go unpunished and that the death of these young people is not forgotten by public opinion, that is why this work of art is a peaceful manifestation Against the massacres in Colombia, it is a cry for peace and the lives of young people.
